Ms. Jana Zilkova
Dedicated to making an impact on people and the society, Jana is carving her way in international development, research and policy making for more than 10 years. Since 2018, she has been working as Head of Mission of Caritas Czech Republic in Mongolia and managing the SWITCH-Asia Project Improving Resource-Efficiency and Cleaner Production in the Mongolian Construction Sector Through Materials Recovery.
Jana Žilková is the Head of Mission of Caritas Czech Republic (CCR) in Mongolia that is dedicated to improve the lives of thousands of people through education, promotion of sustainable development and empowering local communities and marginalized groups. At her current position, she leads the team of more than 15 people implementing several projects on youth development, construction and demolition waste and plastic recycling, including the SWITCH-Asia Project Improving Resource-Efficiency and Cleaner Production in the Mongolian Construction Sector Through Materials Recovery. She has more than 10 years of experience in international development, project management, policy making and research. Before joining CCR, Jana had worked in several European and Asian countries, including Slovakia, Belgium, Germany, Denmark and Singapore. She received a BA degree in International Economic Relations from the University of Economics in Bratislava and an MSc degree in European Affairs from the Aalborg University in Denmark. She is currently pursuing an Executive Master's of Public Administration at Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. Jana is fluent in English, German, Czech, and Slovak and has a good knowledge of Russian, Mongolian and French.
