Dana Graber Ladek is an international professional with over 20 years of experience in humanitarian aid, development programming, programme management and multidisciplinary team management in coordination with government agencies, the United Nations, and national and international organizations. Her assignments before becoming Chief of Mission for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Thailand in July 2016 include: Regional Project Development Specialist for the IOM Regional Office for Central America and the Caribbean, based in San Jose, Costa Rica (2011-2016); Head of the IOM Regional Support Unit for South-Eastern Europe, based in Budapest, Hungary (2008-2011); Displacement Specialist for IOM Iraq based in Amman, Jordan (2005-2008); Programme Liaison for the IOM Washington Regional Office based in Washington, DC (2003-2005), and Director of Outreach for The Communitarian Network (2002-2003). She also participated in the US Peace Corps in Costa Rica. Ms. Graber Ladek holds bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Journalism from Goshen College and a master’s degree in International Affairs with a focus on Conflict Resolution from George Washington University. Ms. Graber Ladek is originally from Colorado, USA. She moved to Bangkok in July 2016 with her husband and three children, now ages 7, 9, and 12.
